One could have a pair of reasonably priced familiar sandals from any well known store, but such sandals can’t beat the elegance or the ease and comfort of handmade sandals made from leather. You’ll be stupefied at the mention of their being used all thru year, even in winters. Despite the strange look they give, you wouldn’t understand my reluctance of using them all the year round unless you try them once.

I wasn’t too pleased with the quality of mass produced sandals that I used. They caused itching on my skin. Certain feet just can’t bear them! One day after I got a big blister, I decided not to wear sandals, concluding that all sandals were equally bad, at least for me.

My best friend would often make fun of my dislike for sandals. She would insist on my wearing a pair of custom leather sandals like she used to have one. She was very positive that the quality of such sandals would for ever make me wear similar ones. I just refused to believe her because of my rather recent unhappy experiences.

On my birthday she gifted me a pair of handmade leather sandals. I was simply bowled over, or shall I say quite dumbfounded and a little agitated perhaps. But no, this friend continued to be steadfast optimist of the quality of comfort level they offered and almost challenged me that if I wore the once, I wouldn’t like to remove them. Just to keep a dear friend in good humor, I decided to try them out and put those on my feet.

On watching my facial expressions she burst out laughing! She could judge that I instantly liked those. I never could imagine that sandals would be made so good. It would sound an exaggeration to say that wearing those sandals I felt better than being barefooted, but that’s really true.

I wish all those with birthdays falling in spring are gifted with such a pair of great handmade sandals! They offer such an enjoyable experience all thru summer and spring. It wouldn’t be a surprise if you decide to continue wearing them even in winters because you are sure to fall in love with them. Perhaps you would consider that to be a wishful thinking only, as the weather won’t permit their use in winters plus you would fear looking an odd-man out in winters with sandals.

Once again my friend came to my rescue by confiding in me that she continued to wear sandals during winters too without being uncomfortable. Initially I thought it would be bizarre not to pack away my sandals and confined their use only to days with a pleasant spring like weather. But, very soon I began missing my sandals. Eventually I tried them out as the mercury started dipping. Now, irrespective of the season, my feet are always comfortable in those sandals.

Since generations, the color pink has continued to be a whim of users and designers alike. Perhaps, because of the freedom it offers to designers for playing around with its various shades, so that at least one would suit any persona. This surfeit of pink, of late, has prompted designers to drape our feet with sandals in every shade of available pink. This pre-season witnessed a strong charisma of pink on the catwalks and is already in the high streets. No wonder that every fusionist these days is looking out for a pair of pink sandals.
